NNB Releases New Experimental Research On The Senostatic Function of EGT Proving EGT Can Slow Down Aging At The Genetic Level

MitoPrime®(L-Ergothioneine), know as the New“Longevity Vitamin”, is often considered the most comprehensive oral Antioxidant known, which exhibits profound anti-inflammatory actions and protects DNA & mtDNA.

NNB Nutrition (https://nnbnutrition.com/), a cutting-edge branded ingredient supplier and creator, known for its R&D and innovative ability, has recently released new experimental research on EGT’s senostatic function. This research once again proved MitoPrime®’s effectiveness in anti-aging and cellular health. MitoPrime® as one of NNB’s star ingredients has obtained 15 patents including its effectiveness on muscle degeneration, age-related macular degeneration, and improving skin luminosity. NNB is planning to file for more patents and do more research to explore MitoPrime®’s efficacy in various aspects.

MitoPrime®’s senostatic experiment was prepared by Alcyomics and prepared for NNB’s Scientific & Strategic Advisor Dr. Joseph Evans. This experiment was designed to look at MitoPrime®'s effect on cellular senescence by monitoring cellular markers (Ki67, P16, P21, SAβG). Ki67, P16, P21, and SAβG are all SNCs (senescent cells) markers, by giving MitoPrime® to cells and observing the change in Markers’ numbers one can conclude MitoPrime®’s efficacy. Ki67 is a proliferation cell related antigen, its function is closely related to mitosis, is indispensable in cell proliferation, mainly marking cells in the proliferation stage, meaning that when Ki67 is expressed, cell is not aging. On the other hand, the overexpression of P16 and P21 indicates that normal cells are in cell cycle arrest, which means cell stop to proliferate. Similarly, SAβG (Senescence-associated β-galactosidase) is a hydrolytic enzyme involved in lytic disintegration. It accumulates and it's activity increases during cell senescence.(Martínez-Zamudio et al., 2021). Senostatic can be understand as prevent aging or delay senescence, senostatics do not kill senescent cells but inhibit paracrine signalling and thus block the ‘proliferation’ of senescence (Short et al., 2019). In order to observe the senostatic profile assay of the cells, researchers give cells with constant dose of MitoPrime® with different concentration (0, 0.5,3.0, and 30µM) and observe the cells’ status in passage 22, 24 and 26. Then Analyse the senescence markers by immunohistochemical staining.

Unsurprisingly, the experimental results proved that continuous use of MitoPrime® has a significant effect on delaying cell aging. The result showed that (1) MitoPrime® did not modified the presence of Ki67; (2) p21 decreased by 16.5% at passage 22; (3) p16 Decreased by 15% at passage 24; (4) There is a mean of 50% SAβG reduction. Thus, NNB’s researcher comes to the conclusion that MitoPrime® can directly regulate two genes, P16 and P21 as well as SAβG, which are all indicators of aging process. The data suggests that MitoPrime® is senostatic, and it is an antioxidant that may function through the p38 MAPK pathway. Therefore, NNB suggested that Mitoprime® is indeed an longevity vitamin, by taking it constantly, Mitoprime® can help to delay senescence, and regulate aging-related genes. This research can be considered as meaningful since it confirmed the effectiveness of NNB's Mitoprime®, and long-term use of MitoPrime® has obvious effects on anti-aging and genetic health.

About MitoPrime®

MitoPrime®, NNB's pure Ergothioneine, is NNB Biotech’s bio-perfected form of the histone derivative L-ergothioneine now is backed by over 15 studies including clinical trials, human cell & pharma-model C Elegans. MitoPrime® L-ergothioneine is a naturally water-soluble amino acid with a powerful energy-boosting antioxidant property, which benefits in longevity, antioxidant, DNA & genomic stability, immunity boost, anti-inflammation, and cellular & organ health, and can be formulated or work as the sole active ingredient. It is 100% natural, non-GMO, and contains no additives of any kind.

NNB believes that regulatory certification such as GRAS and FSSAI, as well as clinical trials and patents can add more value to the product itself, and also enable MitoPrime® to be used more widely, such as in daily supplement, skin care, cosmetics, food, beverages etc. NNB is also looking forward to discussing with clients the wider application scenarios of MitoPrime® .
