OCI and Hollyhigh 'East East Partnership' for Innovative Investment Banking Partnership

OCI International Holdings Limited (00329.HK) ("OCI International") announced today the signing of a strategic partnership agreement with a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hollyhigh International Capital Limited ("Hollyhigh") in Hong Kong. This collaboration aims to establish a new model of investment banking services in an era marked by significant change.

Under the terms of the agreement, the two parties have jointly formed the OCIP Management Committee ("OCIP"), with Mr. Chen Mingjian appointed as Chairman. Mr. Chen will oversee the management and operations of OCIP and will be responsible for recommending and introducing global investment banking experts to join the committee.

In July, Mr. Jiao Shuge, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OCI International, remarked at the OCIP preparatory meeting that this strategic decision comes at a pivotal time for the capital market. The traditional Wall Street model, which has endured for over two centuries, is being challenged by advancements in AI, shifts in traffic flow, and changes in consumer behavior. OCI International aims to foster new productivity in investment banking through innovative business models.

Mr. Chen Mingjian stated, "Since graduating from Tsinghua University in 1993 and entering the Shanghai Stock Exchange, I have spent 31 years in the securities industry. Never have I felt the market's challenges as acutely as I do today. However, significant changes also drive major innovations, presenting a unique opportunity for young investment bankers."

Yanqiong Huang, the newly appointed President of the Asset Management Division, expressed, "I am honored to join OCI International, a company with a global perspective and an acute awareness of current trends. My commitment is to broaden global investment horizons, assist clients in establishing wealth growth and inheritance strategies aligned with the new economic stage, and build a stable and far-reaching asset management system on OCI's platform, supported by fixed income strategies."

The initial members of the OCIP partner alliance include Qu Rong and Lin Tianxiang, Presidents of the Investment Banking Department, and Huang Yanqiong and Fan Yiyang, Presidents of the Asset Management Department.
